Cox's Bazar is Bazar is the longest natural sandy sea beach in the world. It is 125 km long and most attractive tourist site in Bangladesh. The town is located 150 kilometer south of Chittagong. The name Cox's Bazar originates from Captain Hiram an officer of British India.Miles of sandy, green-blue water, dreams sun set and beautiful beach attract the peoples. Himchari: It is about 32 km. South of Cox's Bazar along the beach, a nice place for picnic. The famous "Broken Hills" and waterfalls here are rare sights.

Inani: It is about 32 km South of Cox's Bazar and just on the beach, with the sea to the west and a background of steep hills to the east. It is only half an hour's drive from Cox's Bazar and an ideal place for Sea-bathing and picnic.



Moheshkhali: It’s a beautiful island near by Cox's Bazar. It has an area of 268 square kilometers. Through the centre of the island and along the eastern coast line rises a range of low hills, 300 feet high; but the coast to the west and north is a lowlying treat, fringed by mangrove jungle. In the hills on the coast is built the shrine of Adinath, dedicated to siva. By its side on the same hill is Buddhist Pagoda.

Ramu: It’s about 16 km from Cox's Bazar, on the main road to Chittagong. There are monasteries, khyangs and pagodas containing images of Buddha in gold, bronze and other metals inlaid with precious stones. It’s a typical Buddhist village. The village has a charm of its own. Weavers ply their trade in open workshops and craftsmen make handmade cigars in their pagoda like houses.

Sonadia: It’s also a beautiful island about seven kilometer of Cox's Bazar and about nine square kilometer in area. The western side of the island is sandy and different kinds of shells are found on the beach. There are beds of window pane oysters of the northern part of the island. During winter, fishermen set up temporary camps on the island and dry their catches of sea fish in sunshine.

Saint Martin: This small coral island of the Bay of Bengal, about 10 km south-west from the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf. It’'s a clean and peaceful place with coconut palms. The local name of this island is ‘Narikel Jinjira’. St. martin island is one of the most beautiful place of beautiful Bangladesh.

Fantasy Kingdom Theme Park, Dhaka

Fantasy Kingdom is an excellent amusement theme park in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It’s a very popular tourist destination in Bangladesh. Located on the Dhaka-Ashulia Highway, the park is just outside the Dhaka city, in Ashulia suburb.

Beyond the massive pink walls of the entrance, lies a world of landscaped gardens, walkways, lakes, statues and plenty of thrilling rides. Unfortunately, not many of the locals of Bangladesh are able to afford the entry fee into the park. Most of the community has never even set foot past the entrance, and many of the visitors that get to enjoy Fantasy Kingdom are foreigners. But hopefully the influx of foreigners to the park will boost the tourism industry and economy of the region, so that one day, everyone will be able to enjoy the excitement and adventure of Fantasy Kingdom.

Patenga Sea Beach

Patenga sea beach is a popular tourist spot in Bangladesh. It’s about 14 kilometers south of Chittagong port city. The beach is near the mouth of the Karnaphuli River and stretches to the Bay of Bengal. It’s very close to Bangladesh Naval Academy of Bangladesh Navy and Shah Amanat International Airport. The beach itself is quite sandy, with a few rocky patches here and there. Most visitors come to Patenga Beach as it is known for having some of the most stunning sunsets and sunrises in Bangladesh. Kuakata Sea Beach

Kuakata is a beautiful sea beach on the southernmost part of Bangladesh. Located in the Patuakhali district, Barishal division. Kuakata has a wide sandy beach from where one can see both the sunrise and sunset. It is about 320 Kilometres south of Dhaka and about 70 Kilometres from the district headquarters. Kuakata was part of the larger Sundarbans forest. The Kuakata beach is 30 km long and 6 km wide.

Tea Garden

Bangladesh Tea Growing Area:

Moulvibazar, Habigonj, Sylhet, Chittagong, Panchagarh are the main tea growing area in Bangladesh. Srimangal is known as the capital of tea growing area in Bangladesh. Miles around of tea garden is look like wonderful green carpet. There are three of the largest tea gardens in the world both in area and production. Nearly 300,000 workers are employed on the tea estates of which over 75% are women. Employers prefer to engage women for plucking tea leaves since they do a better job and are paid less than the men.

Tea has been one of the major exportable items of Bangladesh. We had a captive export market in some countries to export tea. Export of Bangladesh tea in the year 2005 was 9.09 million kg which was 30.66% less than the previous year export of 13.11 million kg. Export earning was 742.62 million taka against 934.04 million taka the previous year. Of the exported quantity 6.57 million kg was sold to Pakistan alone. The Govt. of Pakistan allowed duty free entry of 10.00 million kg of tea per year from Bangladesh since October 2002 and offered to increase the quota up to 15.00 million kg. but Bangladesh could not utilize that quota fully as increasing internal demand pushes the price levels up in the local auction and discourages exports. Other tea producing countries like India, Srilanka, Indonesia, Vietnam, Kenya and some other African countries have relative advantages to supply better quality teas at lower prices that makes export market extremely competitive for Bangladesh Tea. Jaflong

Jaflong is one of the most attractive natural tourist spots in Sylhet Division, Bangladesh. It's about 60 km far from Sylhet town and takes two hours drive to reach there and situated at the border between Bangladesh and India. It’s just below the mountain range. The island is 7.315 km long and is aligned NNW and SSE. Geographically, it is divided into three parts. The northern part is called Narikel Jinjira or Uttarpara and is 2,134m long and 1,402m wide. The southern part is known as Dakshinpara, which is 1,929m long, with a narrow tail of 1,890m towards the southeast, and a maximum width of 975m. A narrow central belt or Maddhyapara connects the two parts. The length and the width of this belt are about 1,524m and 518m respectively and the narrowest collar is known as Golachipa. In addition to the main island there are a number of tiny islets ranging from 100 to 500 sq m which are locally known as Chheradia or Siradia which means separated island.

There is a shallow lagoon in the middle of Uttarpara and it is connected to the sea during high tide by a narrow channel on the western coast. The topsoil of Uttarpara consists of alluvial sands mixed with shells of molluscs. There are two small dead lagoons and a stretch of marshy land in Dakshinpara. Fish landing sites, bazars and schools are present only in Uttarpara.

St. Martin's Island has become a popular tourist spot. Launches and country boats ply between the island and teknaf regularly. The population is about 3,700 and most of them are fishermen belonging to 535 families. One hundred eighty-two species of wildlife are recorded from the island. Of these, 4 species are amphibians, 28 reptiles, 130 birds and 20 mammals. tourism to the northern part of the island exists during four months (November to February). The most densely populated part is Jinjira. There is scarcity of sweet water on the island. Only a few ponds and a number of tubewells supply sweet water for drinking as well as for cultivation. Though the island falls in the monsoon zone, the climate is much influenced by the sea. The main vegetation is coconut, betel nut and bamboo. Coconut trees are abundant and more concentrated in the Jinjira area. The soil of the island is not so fertile. The main agricultural products are onion, watermelon and some rice.
